St. John’s is looking for a parish administrator to take over for Rachel when she leaves in June! Details are below in the job announcement:

Job Title:         Parish Administrator

Reports to:      Mission Pastor

Hours per week:

8-10 hours per week, flexible, but must include office hours on Monday and Thursday. Some opportunity to work from home via remote desktop. Changes might occur and will be consistent with published St. John’s office hours and with schedule changes to be approved in advance by the Pastor.

Duties:

Provide administrative support for the Pastor and parish operations, which includes creating, printing, and distributing church bulletins and e-newsletters; maintaining physical and digital church records; ordering and restocking office supplies; monitoring maintenance of office equipment and scheduling service as needed; maintaining the church website and Facebook page; and keeping the calendar.

Create a positive and welcoming experience for those contacting or visiting the office, located in the Homestead at Springwell Senior Living, which involves answering the phone, all email communications, and coordinating and communicating with volunteers.

Work closely with the accountant via email and phone to perform some financial duties using QuickBooks, which include tracking and recording church income from donations and sales, depositing funds into church accounts, paying bills and printing checks.

Site maintenance, which includes distributing and tracking keys/fobs to office; contacting service contractors and/or Springwell for repairs when necessary; and light cleaning.

Requirements:

Candidate must have excellent written and verbal skills, proficiency in computer and internet use (primarily Microsoft Word, remote desktop software, and WordPress), and the ability to use QuickBooks. Candidate must also be flexible, able to work independently, and be comfortable working with and around senior citizens. Experience with Episcopal worship, hymns, and liturgy is helpful, but not essential.
